Government and Internal Investigation
Colligan Law’s Government and Internal Investigation Practice Group focuses on: (1) advising businesses and individuals in connection with government investigations, including government subpoena compliance; (2) assisting businesses in conducting internal investigations into their business practices; and (3) representing businesses in legal and administrative civil proceedings. Examples of recent investigations include but are not limited to:- advising entities in matters involving the New York State Attorney General’s Office, the New York State Office of the Inspector General, the United States Food and Drug Administration, the New York State Division of Human Rights and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission;
- assisting Special Committee of the Board of Directors of a publicly traded company in conducting an internal investigation in response to a demand on the board alleging securities fraud; and
- representing individuals and entities in Article 78 proceedings in New York State Supreme Court.
